Atlanta, Ga- It has been reported that Chad Johnson has been released by the Miami Dolphins.  Chad was arrested a day before his release, because of a domestic violence charge.  Miami Dolphins said enough is enough!!  The organization was ready to cut before this incident, because of his bad language during an interview.  He is a perfect example of someone becoming bigger than themselves.  Chad Johnson has always loved the media attention, and when guys like him seek attention they will get it.  I personal think Chad needs to re-focus and find out what it took to get him to the NFL, it sure wasn't his wife Evelyn or his media attention.  Many times Chad shows immaturity when he carries his entertainment personality into his workplace of professional football.  It is simple, if you want to be an entertainer then go for it, but the NFL are cutting guys who cannot follow the rules, and especially these clowns like Chad Johnson who doesn't take their job seriously.  Grow up man!! - Rico Reese

Atlanta, Ga-  It is a little too early to say that Dontari Poe is a bust, but there are signs showing that he could potentially be one.  In my opinion, Poe was an average defensive tackle on the collegiate level.  I watch him play in a few games, and he never really stood out to me.  I must say that he did stand out to me at the combine and also to NFL teams when he measured in at 6'3 1/3 and weighed in at 346 pounds, but what made his size so impressive were his combine results.  Poe did the most reps at the combine on the bench press by benching 225 lbs, 44 times. Then Poe ran an an eye-popping 4.87 in the forty.  Although he had at great workout, this is still football not a video game.  This is a perfect example of the politics in the NFL.  There are some Division I-AA defensive tackles who has put up big numbers on the field, and did not even get drafted.  Poe told the Kansas City Star that he is struggling.  "Its all different,” he said. “The technique of it, theres nothing the same about the college level.  The only thing the same is that it’s football.  As far as the speed level and the strength and all that, you’ve got to learn it all.”



  Hopefully this guy Poe will come through for the Chiefs, but I really do not see that happening anytime soon. -Rico Reese

Atlanta, Ga- Robert Gallery, a former Outland Trophy winner and All-American at Iowa, retires after only 7 years in the league.  Now, I know that 7 years may seem like a long time, but it is not when you were a player of Gallery's caliber.  He was drafted second pick overall by the Oakland Raiders, in which he played there from 2004-2010. Gallery, was a great run blocker but wasn't very good at pass protection.  He was in camp with the New England Patriots when he decided to retire.  This guy could have easily played two more season and made a little more money, but I guess he was straight on the money and was just tired of playing. - Rico Reese   

Atlanta, Ga- Terrell Owens at the age of 38 years old, agrees to a deal with the Settle Seahawks, according to NFL.com.  I have always viewed T.O. as one of the best wide receiver during his time with the 49ers, Eagles, Cowboys, Bills and Bengals.  T.O. has the numbers to back up my opinion.  He has started 201 of the 219 regular-season NFL games he has played in his career. He has 1,078 receptions for 15,934 yards and 153 touchdowns - the second most in league history.  I think the NFL teams and GM do not have minds of their own.  The reason I say this is because they listen to the media and other teams talk bad about T.O. which in the end causes them to miss out on a great receiver.  T.O. does bring a lot of media attention to every team that he is apart of, but who cares???  This is the NFL, that is how the NFL is popular in the first place.  The question I have is, "Why did it take so long for a team to offer this guy a deal?"   T.O. is 38 years old, but he just caught 72 passes for 983 yards and nine touchdowns at the age of 37, does one year really makes that much of a difference??  What is your opinion? - Rico Reese
